If you want to have a formative hand in shaping the future, you have to understand the present and learn from the past.

    Brook Street

Brook Street is one of the principal streets in the exclusive central London district of Mayfair. The street originally consisted of houses, mostly built to individual designs.

76 Brook Street was designed and built by the celebrated architect and author Colen Campbell in 1726, who is credited as founder of the Georgian Style. The building is now Grade 11 listed and whilst retaining many original features, has been sensitively and substantially restored to provide elegant office accommodation over 5 floors.

78 Brook Street was also designed and built by Colen Campbell, and was rebuilt following a fire in 1875. The house was converted into offices in the early 20th century. The Lyson group comprehensively refurbished the building in 2000. The historic façade was retained and carefully restored, whilst the offices were completely refurbished, updating the floor plates to provide prestigious new column free offices over the five floors.

Architecture is one of the fine arts. Our planning office attaches great value to the role of art in the public domain. This commitment is expressed not only in our efforts to preserve, restore and revitalize buildings of historic and architectural value. We also afford access to works of contemporary art at public places that are open to everyone. In some cases, works of art are acquired for the purpose of displaying them in or near suitable buildings for a wider audience to behold. In others, prominent artists are commissioned to handle the entire creative process from the inceptive design to its implementation.
